K_N_I_F_E

I had a kitchen knife with a broken tip & a loose handle.
So I fixed it, with a little bit of elbow grease, a Dremel and my Leatherman.
I ground down the broken tip and reshaped it / sharpened it.
I took a chunk of canvas stretcher bar and hammered
it to condense/compact & harden the softer wood.
A slot was cut length wise to fit the tang of the blade, then
a nail was put through the bolt hole in the tang, and peened. -(ha-ha peen!)
I smoothed & shaped the handle with a few of the Dremel attachments.
All I need to do now is stain the handle and seal it (more pictures to follow)

I'm BATMAN !

I may have mentioned that I get bored easily, . .this narcissistic little E-Shrine is a testament to that fact. But boredom does yield some pretty cool things from time to time. Very frequently I have to cut acrylic/ plexi at work. It's very light weight plastic. Very strong & resilient, easy to cut and or score-( score as in slice a long groove or channel into and then snap along a table / counter edge. Not "score" as obtain through illegal channels or unlawfully) So this material makes for a wonderful building / crafting material. It comes in a few thicknesses 1/8" being the standard for picture framing and general use. It also comes in 1/2". You can find it at your local Home Depot or Lowe's. So, I bought some and made something awesome (I think it's awesome)
Metal outdoor shed vs. A triangle of acrylic! Who you got?!?! Hurled into my neighbor's shed from about 15 feet away. and it got about 2-1/2" - 3" in! Surprisingly accurate. I drilled some holes through a sqaure of plexi to make the scallops for the batarang, (and got a bonus Found Face out of it!) Then painted them black and gave them a clear coat.
