Slinky + Business Cards = C O O L

Take one mini-metal Slinky (cuz plastic Slinky's iz fo wussies) add a couple Neodymium magnets-(also why you need the metal Slinky) and VIOLA:
A cool looking, cheap business card holder!

The previous post is a robot scultpure holding business cards. Hopefully one day I'll have a place to put all of these cards where I can hand them out / people can take them. But until then I will trudge along slowly but surely in this great fultile effort of being AWESOME-(said with much Hubris :)
Seriously though,....it would be amazing to be able to have the chance to do what I love to do and have the recognition & money that I want and deserve for my work(s)

Sock-tapus!

An Octopus with socks! That is all!

OctoPhant!

* I like Octopi & Squids,...in case you haven't noticed that there are a bunch of them in my work*
I'm still not totally convinced that anybody actually reads this blog, other than the few great "followers" I have. 'cuz in theory a ton of folks could be looking at my blog, just not "following" it)
It seems tantamount to taking photos, drawing, and or notes & putting them in sealed bottles and tossed them into the ocean,...an on-line "E" ocean I guess,...
which makes the squid &octopi theme oddly apropros
A N Y W A Y S ! ! !
BEHOLD!!! The -OctoPhant!- An Octopus,Elephant hybrid! It has elephant trunk for tentacles -( still with suckers) It can propel itself through the water by pushing water out of it's trunks!
(seems like the kind of animal that should've been on Avatar: The Last Air Bender!)

R _ o - B _ o - T !

A big robot with crazy hair! The head of this robot I made about a 8 months ago, and it sat on a shelf until 1 month ago,...it's odd how certain things are only ready to be completed after time has passed.
The eyes are l.e.d capsules for wedding favors or some such damn thing-( my work sells dopey things) any ways,....he's about 1-1/2 ft. tall and made of multiple piece of wire, different thicknesses & different malleability. Wire mesh, framing hardware, springs, metal tubing, and whisk handles were also used
I consider this to be a work in progress,... more pics will follow to update it's progress

P A D D L E !

I made this paddle as a joke for a former co-worker of mine.
All jokes aside though, how bad-ass is this thing?!?
From the tip to pommel it measures about 24" , 1" thick and about 10" wide!
Several coats of walnut stain were used, with a matte finish coating to seal it. The handle was wrapped in black suede (similarly to how a hockey stick is wrapped) metal upholstery nails, with an antique hammered finish, were used to make it more intimidating. More of those nails were used to add additional grip to the sides of the handle.

Spontaneous Wire Sculpture?

I came into work today drinking a RedBull-(as I often do:) I set my things down near my work station. I then got called away by my boss, so I left my drink by my things,...
I come back an hour or so later and discovered this:

How cool would that be if I could animate that into stop motion! It would a hell of a commercial for RedBull or Leatherman,...and more importantly for me!
Well it's a nice thought and a cool visual,... but totally unrealistic.
But a guy can dream can't he? Whadaya mean no?! Ah screw it,.... one day I'll be sucessful, . . . . or I won't

Another being bored at work situation. Only 5 pieces of wire were used for this piece! And I used screws in a tin container as a planter for it!!
