Untitled / Abstract Wire Sculpture

Well, it's been a while since I've posted any sculpture.
I'm not really living up to to the name of this Blog. . .any who.
For now this is just an untitled abstract piece. It's quite large, about the size kick ball. Probably about 400 feet of wire was used -(so far) framing wire was used again. It's great for sculpting -(this type of sculpting anyways) a few differentr gauges were used, and lots & lots of different pieces / strands.
*And in case any (unjustly) concerned parties are reading this and might be wondering "Gee where did that guy procure the aformentioned wire?" I BOUGHT IT SUCKERS!
It's Soft Strand Wire available in several different gauges. Available at many on-line distributors. Where was I?  Oh yeah, . .my narcissistic little E-Shrine, . . .This piece has potential, it could stay an abstract piece that I can add a few hundred feet more wire to. Or possibly be the head a large full size figure-(I know what yer thinkin' what an undertaking! Ok you guys probably weren't thinking that)
Stay tuned for more posts, pics & updates!
Same Bat time, same Bat channel, same Bat-net? eh that last one needs work!
Thank you good night everybody! be sure and tip your waitress!

S-a-a-a-a-n-t-a-a-h !

And yeah that's a reindeer leg

MUSKY

Musk is a funny word, (to me) not a word I'd put choose to use in the title of my cologne / perfume.
If you're a child of the 80's and or if you've ever been in a C.V.S or silimar establishment that sells overpriced things that they shouldn't-(seriously cologne at a drug store?) then you probably seen
JOVAN MUSK!  (probably somewhere near the Jean Nate, and the Aqua Velva)
I have been (mis)fortunate enough to have received this fine liquid stink as a present in my youth.
I don't recall what it smells like actually-(in a comparative the sense/scents, . .ahhh fragrance pun)
Or if it actually smells musky, I recall not liking it very much though. I think that they-(and by they I mean Jovan, or the musky peoples behind this lovely stink liquid) should've gone for more of whimsical design campaign approach. So I present to you about 20 years too late:
 Musky the liquid stink Rat!

K_N_I_F_E

I had a kitchen knife with a broken tip & a loose handle.
So I fixed it, with a little bit of elbow grease, a Dremel and my Leatherman.
I ground down the broken tip and reshaped it / sharpened it.
I took a chunk of canvas stretcher bar and hammered
it to condense/compact & harden the softer wood.
A slot was cut length wise to fit the tang of the blade, then
a nail was put through the bolt hole in the tang, and peened. -(ha-ha peen!)
I smoothed & shaped the handle with a few of the Dremel attachments.
All I need to do now is stain the handle and seal it (more pictures to follow)

L E G O S !

I like Legos, . . that is all

I'm BATMAN !

I may have mentioned that I get bored easily, . .this narcissistic little E-Shrine is a testament to that fact. But boredom does yield some pretty cool things from time to time. Very frequently I have to cut acrylic/ plexi at work. It's very light weight plastic. Very strong & resilient, easy to cut and or score-( score as in slice a long groove or channel into and then snap along a table / counter edge. Not "score" as obtain through illegal channels or unlawfully) So this material makes for a wonderful building / crafting material. It comes in a few thicknesses 1/8" being the standard for picture framing and general use. It also comes in 1/2". You can find it at your local Home Depot or Lowe's. So, I bought some and made something awesome (I think it's awesome)
Metal outdoor shed vs. A triangle of acrylic! Who you got?!?! Hurled into my neighbor's shed from about 15 feet away. and it got about 2-1/2" - 3" in! Surprisingly accurate. I drilled some holes through a sqaure of plexi to make the scallops for the batarang, (and got a bonus Found Face out of it!) Then painted them black and gave them a clear coat.
