New base of Operations

Well, it's been a rough coupla weeks. I (and Kelly & Mack) moved into a town house!
Lotsa back breaking lifting of furniture, aggrivation with transfering utilities, cable, forwarding mail,. . et cetera.
This is the first real day off I've had for about 4 weeks. When I'm not at my actual work place, i'm working on moving & settling in bull shit.
*I use the term day off lightly, I've been up since 8:30 and hung pictures and mounted shelves*
I'm getting off topic as I have a tendency to do, any ways,....
I have a garage again,...finally a place to craft things. . . .
well sorta, I still have to make a run to my parents place to pick up my tools...
So at the moment I have a place to remind me of what I can eventually have.
I don't think anybody actually reads what I type here, so I doesn't really matter what I say-(type) just as It probably won't matter what I do in the garage. I have a horrible feeling that I'll get all my tools from my folks place and have my creaive arsenal at the ready, . . . .and then,... NOTHING. I'll have nothing to do. No things to make for anybody. Aside from projects for me( which, since I have all of my wire sculptures packed up in boxes. All of it's been projects for me)

Kinda like Batman in the BatCave, . . . with no crime to fight.
In other words, pretty fuckin' lame

Hopefully the aggrivation & hard work will pay off and not be in vain.

Probably not though :(

Any way here is my BatCave so far -( more pictures to follow)

Busy Barrel

A plastic water cooler bottle (with the neck cut off) + a length of climbing rope + some squeak balls from the pet store =

BUSY BARREL!

I took these pcitures a few years ago, when I still had my dog.
He's alive & well,..just not hanging out with me any longer, . .
Anyways,I'm getting off topic and startin' to ramble

Anybody who's had a Border Collie knows that they are really intelligent.
An intelligent dog tends to get bored, . .
A bored, intelligent dog, if not properly stimulated will wreck your house. Which may hurt your dog in the process. So I made my dog Wilson-(pictured below)this Activi-Toy (a trademarked name) the Busy Barrel -(also trademarked)

Tactical Flask

I repurposed some lengths of ballistic nylon straps & plastic buckles from a broken child's racecar themed shopping cart from my local grocery store, to make a tactical rig with belt loop for my flask.

Now I can get boozed up anywhere all Batman style.

(More) Thinking outside the box

A section of mailing tube, some scrap canvas and some A.T.G-( pressure sensitive glue) and you get cup holders for an Ikea Futton, . . the canvas worked out well, because it had a very similar look to the cushions and was a sturdy material!

Thinking outside the box . . . .

I've been told that I "MacGyver" things very well. Also known as "jack-assing" things together. This skill set is mostly born out of necessity, . .
Usually in response to having fix other peoples screw ups, and being surrounded by lazy people. I work in retail, . . So I've been in plenty situations where I had to make things work with out the proper tools and or materials.
It just recently occured to me take pictures of these instances

A few spoons repurposed for key hooks!

No mixer? No problem
(Dewalt beats Cuisinart any day)

A few hair ties, . . . and viola! An adjustable G.P.S mount for the car!

RedBull Robot

This piece was put together in a few hours with scrap wire I found. I was drinking a Red Bull whilst making it, and thought it'd be interesting to give the finished form a shield & sword, . . . but I went with armor instead. Kinda reminded me of Transformer -( the Michael Bay kind, . . . which wasn't intentional)

Wire Hands (again)

Wire Hands, . . . again.

My Leatherman Charge. I used it for a majority of the sculpting of this piece.

Me shaking hands

*I tried several times to edit my previous post and add these 2 pictures,
but alas I was not able to. I could add them but not post?!
I'm pretty sure no one will care all too much or at all!
